Imagine Dragons at the Izod Center

For at least the last year, I have really been wanting to photograph Imagine Dragons. On March 8, they brought their Into The Night Tour to Izod Center, and I was there to cover it. Before I even get to the photos I will say; it was worth the wait. So good.

The Naked and Famous opened up the show. I had never listened to them before but I was absolutely drawn in like the thousands of people all around me. Led by the dual vocals of Alisa Xayalith and Thom Powers, The Naked and Famous were absolutely haunting.

In the last 18 months Imagine Dragons have gone from playing 500 capacity venues, to selling out arenas. It is almost unheard of that a band with one album are doing what they have done, but the band is taking it all in stride. Led by Dan Reynolds, the band tore through their entire set like they still have something to prove.

Between the energy, the music, the lights and all the drumming that was happening on stage, there was no chance that they didn't have everyone's rapt attention. One of the best bands right now, period.

There are only a few dates left before ID head overseas on the next leg of their tour. If you have a chance to see them play live, you should absolutely go. Absolutely fantastic.
