letlive. spent the last few weeks on tour supporting Every Time I Die. This past week the tour made it's way to Asbury Park, NJ. I was able to catch them on Warped Tour this past summer, and then I became absolutely obsessed with their latest album, The Blackest Beautiful. Honestly, one of the best albums of the year. Despite the fact that I pretty much hate shooting at The Lanes, I knew I had to be there.
As always, they played an incredible set. Singer Jason Butler actually put his hand through a window at a previous show, recently had surgery, and played the whole set with his arm wrapped up in a sling. At times he was clearly in pain, but he never let him slow him down. This band is incredible.
After their set, I was told I couldn't stand at the side of the stage, which is where I had been for shooting. The lanes has no photo pit or barricade, and because I couldn't stand where I had been standing, there were no sight-lines. I wasn't able to shoot ETID because of this. They're a great band I have photographed many times, so I was a little bummed. Honestly though, I was there for letlive. so I am glad I got to see their incredible set.
